Ponta Abadi helps lead evaluation and strategy at Craft3. She develops methods and tools to drive and track improvements and promote continuous learning across the organization. Also, by making our work more culturally responsive, she helps maximize the benefits to our communities. Ponta feels proud to “make evaluation work accessible. When everyone is excited to contribute to evaluation, we can bring valuable and diverse ideas to the table.”
Although Ponta spent the majority of her adult life in Washington, DC, she grew up in Oregon and returned to the PNW to be near family and because she missed mountains and waterfalls. In her free time, she loves to DJ and play electronic music for her husband and two opinionated cats. You can also occasionally find her outdoors, whether it’s mushroom foraging, kayaking, searching for the perfect swimming hole, or growing tomatoes.
Ponta joined Craft3 in 2023. She has a Master of Public Health degree in Maternal and Child Health from UNC Chapel Hill and worked in public health evaluation. Before that, she earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon and worked in policy communications.
