Big goals established for Shortstack projects

Shortstack Milwaukie is a collection of 15 two-bedroom cottages offering affordable homeownership through Proud Ground’s community land trust model.

“Shortstack” reflects both the compact nature of the homes and the complex “stack” of funding sources. The project progressed with support from Metro’s $652.8 million affordable housing bond, private investments, and a new political openness in Milwaukie to embrace growth in areas previously limited to single-family zoning.

We are proud to partner on this project with Proud Ground, Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS), Metro, Clackamas County, City of Milwaukie, USDA Forest Service, Works Progress Architecture, 7 Oaks Engineering, Inc., DCI Engineers and Owen Gabbert LLC.
