As spring approaches, we are excited to share a few key leadership updates. The seasons are changing, but as always we remain focused on providing responsible capital for businesses, homeowners, nonprofits and communities. These new additions and changes to our Leadership and Board will strengthen our ability to deliver on our mission.
Aman brings a wealth of experience in financial leadership, program development, and operational transformation to Craft3. His immediate past experience was at BECU, a regional not-for-profit credit union managing $30 billion in assets, where for six years he held the role of Business Unit Finance Head serving diverse lending programs and departments. Please watch out for an in-depth blog post featuring Aman in the weeks to come, building on a conversation we shared in December 2024 as our recruitment effort kicked off.
With the addition of Aman, Craft3 has deepened the expertise and experience of its executive leadership team, which also recently welcomed Chief People Officer, Kelly DuLong.
We are grateful to Mark Stevenson, who stepped in as interim CFO after previously serving in that role from 2018 - 2023. Mark’s steady hand was invaluable during the formal search for a permanent CFO. He will retire in May 2025.
Sue Taoka and Lee Winslett have been elected to serve as Co-Chairs of our Board of Directors. Paul Benoit, who announced his anticipated retirement from Board Chair in March 2024, will continue his service on the Board, though not in a leadership role.
Lee has served on the Board since 2007 and currently works as an executive at Wells Fargo. Sue joined the Board in 2024 and previously worked as an Executive Vice President at Craft3 prior to her retirement from that role in 2019.
We are grateful to Paul for his service as Board Chair since 2016. His leadership of the Board oversaw significant growth of Craft3’s services and ability to pursue its mission to benefit more people. His dedication has been invaluable and his on-going contributions as a Board member is a continuation of his belief in the beneficial role that Craft3 can play in the lives of the people we serve.
After 27 years of thoughtful and committed service to Craft3, Director Stan Amy has decided to retire from the Board.
In a resolution passed to recognize him for his long tenure, the Board noted his incredible service and many contributions to Craft3 over the years. He has served as a Board member, an investor, a grant maker, a technical assistance provider to clients, a mentor to staff and management, a merger advisor, and a fundraiser. As Craft3 co-founder Mike Dickerson noted, Stan always “put our best interests first and kept a laser-like focus on our mission.”
Thank you, Stan, on behalf of the entire Craft3 community.
We are grateful to Sue and Lee for taking on this new, shared leadership role on our Board, express a warm welcome to Aman on his first day, and thank Mark, Paul, and Stan for their service. We acknowledge here the legacies and contributions of these individuals, whose leadership tells part of a broader story of the many individuals proud to serve every day at Craft3 that make our services on behalf of community a reality.
