Lee Winslett joined the Craft3 Board in 2008, bringing extensive expertise in finance, banking, lending, management, and community development. In 2025, he stepped into the role of Board Co-Chair, continuing his commitment to the organization’s mission. He also serves as Chair of the Finance Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee.
Lee describes his connection to Craft3 in a way that reflects his passion for transformative impact:
“I'm drawn to Craft3 in the same way that I connect with astronauts and space travel. Craft3 is a portal to a better world that we all envision—a platform to unlock human potential and strengthen our communities.”
In his role on the Board, Lee sees himself as a versatile contributor—alternating between cheerleader, sounding board, resource partner, and occasional provocateur, always pushing the organization to do more and then do even more.
Professionally, Lee is a Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Wells Fargo’s New Markets Tax Credit Program, where his team has facilitated nearly a billion dollars in debt and equity investments to revitalize some of the nation’s least prosperous urban and rural communities. His career spans a range of leadership roles in commercial and real estate lending, reflecting his deep expertise in economic development and impact investing.
Beyond his work, Lee is actively engaged in civic affairs, serving on boards of several housing and economic development nonprofits. He has also been an Advisory Board member for private equity investment funds, including Pacific Community Ventures and Shepherd Ventures. He holds a BA in Business and Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
